Antibiotic resistance is increasing. 

Treatment of gonorrhoea requires parenteral treatment with 1g IM stat ceftriaxone unless culture shows sensitivity to quinolones.

Refer to sexual health to check antibiotic sensitivities, administer treatment, and arrange partner notification. Test of cure will be arranged two weeks after treatment, to ensure treatment success. DO NOT attempt blind treatment with oral Azithromycin or cefixime.
