Refer if persistent symptoms for >6 weeks, even with normal ESR/CRP and negative CCP or Rheumatoid Factor

  • New synovitis (boggy swelling) of more than one joint especially small joints of hands/feet
  • Morning stiffness >45 minutes
  • Symmetrical symptoms
  • Not better explained by another diagnosis
